What Quillin’ does with your data
Quillin’ is a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) extension. This means:
- Your API keys are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. They are never transmitted to us or any third party other than the AI provider you've chosen.
- Text you submit for grammar checking, rewriting, or translation is sent directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Mistral, Groq, or a local Ollama instance). It does not pass through any Quillin’ server because there isn't one.
- Your standing instructions, rewrite styles, and settings are stored locally on your device. We cannot access them.
What we collect
Nothing. Quillin’ has no backend, no analytics, no tracking, and no servers. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Third-party AI providers
When you use Quillin’, your text is sent to whichever AI provider you have configured. Each provider has their own privacy policy:
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
